Smile Makeover Does Not Have to be Hollywood

In the last 14 years having done numerous cosmetic consultations many of the patients assume that their own result will be either as white, or "too white" as the before and after cosmetic makeover cases of my work shown. The truth is that majority of our patients seek the whitest possible outcome as this is the "Hollywood trend". If we closely examine the photos of models on cover of magazines there are two things that are always "Airbrushed/Photoshop" to the whitest: The sclera of the eye (white part) and the teeth. The human eye detects the brightness of these features as sign of aging and youth.

We always strive to implement natural aesthetics in our dental practice, however it is ultimately the patient's decision to choose how white they would the final outcome to be.  There are times that I will guide our patients from going too white depending on skin tone, color, smile line, and other factors. We have wide selection of shades from natural to bleach for those seeking the "Hollywood" smile. Having done numerous cosmetic makeovers over the years I can conclude that almost every cosmetic makeover patient wishes they had gone even whiter after the fact due to the much received compliments on the new smile and self confidence built as result.

Deep Bite Correction in two visits: No Surgery, No Braces - Full Mouth Reconstruction

Today I like to present a challenging case that I greatly enjoyed treating not too long ago. The patient consulted with us having mismatched crowns, and a severe deep bite (also called a "overbite").  Ideally the case could have been treated by years of braces, along with possible orhognathic surgery to correct the deep bite condition.  After consulting all options the patient did not wish to undergo treatment with braces or surgery, so I decided to reconstruct the entire mouth with 28 all porcelain aesthetic layered crowns and re-design the bite to correct the deep bite as much as possible considering its severity. If you would like to consult with us please feel free to contact us for a cosmetic consultation.

What is the All on 4 procedure/Teeth in a day?

all on four same day teethAll-on-Four, or teeth in one day is a process that we often recommend to those patients that suffer from non restorable teeth, or those with ill fitting dentures or partials seeking a permanent solution that eliminates the removable appliance with a fixed permanent dental implant bridge. .

The all on four procedure was first successfully implemented in 1998 ever since thousands have benefited from this revolutionary procedure. As the name suggests four dental implants are placed and a dental bridge is screwed and held permanently in place. This procedure is all done in one day including teeth removal  and under sedation comfortably. If you would like to have a consultation regarding dental implants or all on four please feel free to give us a call for a consultation.
